Prepare for iDEAL 2.0

All Dutch banks are involved in the renewal and improvement of iDEAL, the tool that allows customers to pay online in a safe and easy way. We recommend that you start on time with implementing the new iDEAL. The current iDEAL will be discontinued from 1 July 2024. Our advice to all entrepreneurs is to get ready for the new iDEAL and to connect via API to the new infrastructure. You can find all information about connecting to iDeal 2.0 on our ecommerce website.  If you would like to have an easier migration which is future-proof, you may also consider using Tikkie Zakelijk.

Can I switch my iDeal contract to a Tikkie Zakelijk contract?

We can do that for you! We offer you the possibility to switch your iDEAL contract to a ‘Tikkie Zakelijk’ contract. It saves you time and effort in migrating to iDEAL 2.0.

What are the advantages of switching to Tikkie Zakelijk?
  1. Tikkie can make your life easier with current and future changes and the IT effort required.
  2. Our Tikkie API currently supports iDEAL 1.0 and will support iDEAL 2.0 later on plus future updates and upgrades. You will be able to benefit from new Tikkie functionality, hence this payment method is future-proof.
  3. Our Tikkie API is considered to be reliable, stable and easy to integrate.
  4. Our Tikkie Team already has 6 years of experience with the Tikkie API and guiding clients.
  5. You can switch over to a Tikkie Zakelijk contract against the same transaction cost as your current iDEAL contract.
