Here’s how to sort that out:
  1. Unblock your debit card in the ABN AMRO app or through Internet Banking
  2. Go to a Geldmaat ATM. If you’d prefer to go to a Geldmaat ATM that is not outside, many shops also have a Geldmaat ATM inside
  3. Enter the correct PIN
  4. Check your balance or withdraw cash
  5. Your debit card is working again

On your e.dentifier

Fortunately, this can be sorted out quickly. If you’ve entered an incorrect identification code three times, you must register the app for use again. In that case, you’ll choose a new five-digit identification code. Then you can log in again without problem. Here’s how to do that:

  1. First have your debit card and your e.dentifier ready. You will need them in order to register
  2. Go to the home screen on the app. You can also close the app briefly to get back to this screen
  3. Tap “Activate the app” and follow the steps on the screen. If you don’t see this, put in the wrong identification code a couple of times, and start at step 2

While your new PIN is on its way to you, you may need to make payments or withdraw cash. Fortunately, you can also do your banking without a debit card:

  • Transfer money with the ABN AMRO app, or log into Internet Banking with another account for which you have a payment card
  • Need cash? With the ABN AMRO app, you can withdraw cash without using your debit card
  • Contactless payment with your phone is also possible with Google Pay or Apple Pay.
  • You can also make payments or withdraw cash with a credit card, even when you’re abroad. Please note that withdrawing cash with your credit card costs at least €4.50 per withdrawal. Check the rates
