ABN AMRO Legal expenses insurance

The financial consequences of a dispute involving large sums of money can be disastrous. This is why we offer the Fiscal and Assets module. With this module, you can get legal assistance from ARAG for disputes regarding tax assessments, for example, assets, investments or unit-linked insurance.

 

What sorts of things are covered?

You and your family members are guaranteed legal help and advice during disputes regarding tax assessments, assets, investments or unit-linked insurance. This applies to private transactions carried out by an officially recognised agency in the Netherlands, such as an appeal against a decision relating to your wages or income tax. You and your family members are insured for disputes involving, for example:

  • The sale and management of bonds and savings deposits.
  • Unit-linked insurance.
  • Your own home or holiday home in the European Union, Norway, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.

What is not covered?

The insurance and module do not cover disputes relating to the rental of your home or holiday home.

Maximum cover

Fiscal and Assets module
  • The maximum compensation for external costs during a dispute with an asset manager regarding asset management or a contract for asset management is €6,000.
General
  • All expenses for the legal specialists employed by ARAG are covered.
  • The maximum compensation for external costs (fees paid to a legal specialist or expert who doesn’t work for ARAG) is €50,000.
  • If you choose to engage your own lawyer or solicitor who doesn’t work for ARAG for proceedings that do not legally require a lawyer or solicitor, the maximum compensation for this lawyer or solicitor is €6,000.
